That explains, why there are so many colors! The chameleon circuit was repaired and changed them! Image

Hello Dan,
You've been checking out these slides for several years.
How would you rank the various colors from most to least common?
Thank you
Kurt

id say the early models have the most easy to find colors...as they all seem to be some kind of green or clear...the green of the early models are a blue green to a clear with a tinge of green

the laster models seems to be a regular green to a light green and well all shades of green

the rest seem to be about the same to find...the blues reds ambers

on nicks guide it says there is a white slide...ive not seen one of those...so it must be the hardest of them all to find...also i dont know where the white will fall in code wise...will it be early or late on the variations table

if you look at the first picture of all the models lined up...they are from left to right lowest code to highest code...and you can see there are more varieties of colors in later models than the blue greens and clears on the early models

Dan, you mention the models are in their 'Code' order from low to high. I have noticed the Second picture of the 'Slides' seems to have Two models the wrong way round.

Going by the colours and the cut-out at the top edge of the baseplate, I would have thought the middle Two models need to be swapped, can you check this.

i think i have them in the correct order...on nicks guide you can have no cut out...then a cut out then back to no cut out then a cut out again :)

OK Dan, thank's. If that is the case, it does tend to prove the Two bases for a while were being fitted at the same time, something I have witnessed on the 'Models of Yesteryear' range.

Why these coloured slides, other than looking pretty can someone explain their purpose, why not a solid baseplate. Seems a lot of effort for an area of the model seldom seen?
