31b Ford Fairlane Station Wagon

Post by johnboy »

Sorry if I'm going over old ground but I remember the green paint coming in slightly different shades but I couldn't remember what we'd said about the roofs. Stannard lists them as pale pink only, but plenty come in a variety of shades (warmer pink through to warmer off-white/cream). Did we conclude that these differences were noteworthy or were the whiter shades a result of ageing/fading etc?

Hello All and Happy Holidays - Yes the 31B does come in different shades ranging from light metallic green to nearly an emerald metallic. As with many late 50's early 60's releases this model may not have those shades categorized as color variations, but they exist nonetheless. The picture posted by Mathias pretty well shows the range. - E
