Isn't there a saying that goes something like..."Orange and Green should never be seen"

Ghosty.

very awesome!
Please use a web hosting site (like photobucket) to store pictures so you can post them here, using attachments makes it hard to view the pictures when you have to scroll to see them. Seeing comparisons of models is hard to see with attachments too.

Another stunning Drawer and love the collection of early Lesneys!

On the large coronation coaches, is the "King" present in one of the models??

Thanks again for sharing!

Hi Bill, The coach in front (gold paint) has the King and Queen. The other 3 are Queen only (silver plated, gold plated, and gold paint). Cheers, Macdonald

Early casting to have those later translucent plastics don't you think?

Agreed. The model has the early open fork configuration. The seats are hard and brittle but definitely have a semi-translucent look. The white sidecar seat is slightly larger than original green and black seats. The seats could be from the 25th anniversary trials but are possible reproductions. The model was sold through a Vectis auction. Cheers, Macdonald
