When I hit any key to wake it up, I then just click on the shortcut icon to the forum and away we go...not any more, I'm being logged out behind my back.

The VAIO is Windows 7/8 mix, with Chrome, with Adblock.

Kev have you ticked the box 'keep me logged on after each visit'?
Oddly enough I have not had to do that for a long while, but Two phpBB forums now time out that function for me.

Kevin, if two forums don´t allow you to stay logged in, it must be a kind of cookie problem on your device. Did you change something the last days?

I am not aware of changing anything, only clearing the cache memory, deleting dead links and unwanted browsing history, as I felt this lot was buggering up my laptop and slowing it down.

Does your password and your username automaticly appear, if you open the website? If not, you may have deactivated the password storage.

Yes and interestingly, I've just come on the forum after about an Hour and automatically got in, no logging in, that's how it used to be, so you see it can't be that out of adjustment.

After sending the laptop to sleep in a few Hours time, I bet when I wake it up tomorrow for more forum activity, I have to log in... :D

Hi John, Well here's the plan, I hope to be spending the next two or three months sailing locally, Then when I feel confident enough I will sail up to Edinburgh, Then through the canal to Glasgow so I can spend time with my family during the school summer holidays,
Then when the kids go back to school I will set sail for the Mediterranean. So I will not have internet for much of the time but I will drop by a couple of times a week at the least.

That sounds brilliant Nick, you must have a lot of preparation to do. Whatever happens I hope your plans work out and you have a safe, fun adventure. I'll look forward to the occasional update :D

I wonder if we can have the Ad placed at the bottom of page instead?

PS. I don't have an Ad block installed. I still get the automatically login each time I visit.

Hi Ritchie

Maybe take a look at this, I use it and it works fine, stops all ads.
