Re: My latest news

Post by Malibu »

Hi,
yes I´m going to train tsows for about 35 years and I always find something new.
I´m looking for Märklin, Wiking and the last 2 years for Matchbox modells as well.
´
Last Saturday I tooked together with some models this ladder with me.
Could someone here in the forum tell me if it is made by Lesney and if so to which model it belongs?
The length is 70 mm.

Thanks
Stephan

Hi Stephan.

That ladder comes from the 'Models of Yeateryear' Rolls-Royce 'Fire Engine'.

Thanks Kevin for the info.
Does anybody miss such a ladder.

IIRC this ladder also can be used on the first SF merryweather fire truck

It could be but won't be an original fitment. It was this White ladder from the Merryweather that was adapted for use on the original 1977 issued Y-6 'Fire Engine' but Lesney added the end lugs.

Note the ladder on the Merryweather does not have the end lugs.
Note the Rolls-Royce ladder does.

Great rescue! The metalflake blue suits the Mustang!

Agreed. It would look superb with the interior trimmed in white (seats) and blue (dashboard and carpet)...but that would be a bit of a challenge.

Now I´ve found out that they are all sligthly differnet :-)
I just checked Nick's guide; he lists 26 different variations for the Euclid. Did you happen to get one with a white hyrdosleeve? The Euclid is one of my favorite Regular Wheels castings.
Hi,
finaly I made it.
Bought this Euclid one with white hydrosleeve yesterday.
No I have 6 different models and there are still 20 variations to look for.
Have a nice sunday.
