50th Anniversary - Thunderball

Post by RVREVO »

Corgi must've been experimenting when they did another revamp on the Corgi 270 as silver and the much rarer gold variant for Goldfinger.
This time around the two liveries and boxes were much better prepared.
Instead of stickers the gold and silver are printed on the box so there is no mistake with CC04206S or G.
Something that was missing from the Goldfinger units was a clearly defined number, or COA card.
This time the card depicts a Total of 30.000 units, 25.000 in silver, and 5000 in gold.
However, this year of release does not appear to be as popular as last year, when I struggled to get just one.
This year I was able to get a six-pack.
The six-pack is a one unit box with six cars, 5 silver and one gold.
As you all know I live in New Zealand, but I seem to be the only one collecting these models.
The cars themselves are fairly much the same revamped Corgi 270 revamped for the millenium.
It apparently all comes down to the boxes and the cards.

Might try for a box of Six myself if every one contains a Gold model, I do like these models.

I have not been a member for Years, but £120 for Six models is not bad, about £20 each and free delivery in the UK. I'll have to compare that with toy fair prices.
