Thank you everyone for your info.
My example also has the round reinforcement on the ceiling plastic.
I am just confused that this may be a prepro. I first knew of the model when it was cataloged in the Nancy Schiffer 1983 Matchbox Toys book. It was noted that it came from a MP-1 pack.
Also, Charlie Mack's books have always referenced it as a German issue variation number 5 under the SF45 listings.
If it is a prepro that is OK with me. But, if anyone has any photos of it packaged in a MP-1 multi pack I would like to see.
Either way, I am happy I finally checked this off my list of NEEDS!

Congrats and GOOD eye on picking that one out of a "crowd".
I certainly know about getting up at "Oh dark thirty" to bid on those UK Vectis auctions as I've done it many times!
I hope this model turns out to be what you're hoping for.
"The Gathering" is only a few months away!!

April and I will be there in July. We look forward to seeing you again and the possibility of some fine cocktails at the Sunday Round Table Gathering!

Re: SF45 BMW 3.0 WHITE & GREEN BLANK POLIZEI
Thanks all for the confirmation! The fact that this model has the roof light support proves that it is not connected with the Manhalter issue in any way, as that one has the earlier window glazing without the roof light support.
However, this does not prove or disprove anything about the model's status. As mentioned above, its association with MP-1 five packs comes from Nancy Schiffer's book, and I do not know where she had that information from - maybe a listing in an earlier AIM magazine, but as I do not have such early AIM issues, I am unable to check this. I myself do not remember ever seeing this model in an MP-1 five pack, although it would be easy to put one in, as those packs are recloseable. So even if somebody showed an MP-1 pack with this model in it, that would not be an absolute proof.
For me it remains uncertain if this model variation was ever issued or not.
