Maybe i am just being my usual unobservant self but I haven't seen one of these in plumb with an amber screen before, had a look on Christian's site and only found blue or bronze with amber screens

Reg,

Unfortunately i dont consider this SF#6 an amber glass version. I would suggest that this windscreen has become discoloured as a result of sunlight or another UV source. Furthermore, it might be the photograph you have taken, but the colour appears uneven across the full extent of the windscreen which would tend to confirm my thoughts.

I would also agree with motorman on this. The color is not uniform and quite yellow as opposed to a true amber color. I think this is likely aging artifact. Not to say it is not an interesting piece to collect, I just do not think it left the factory that way.

think your right boys the colouring is not as bad in the flesh but shows up more in the picture , not too worried as it was in a job lot I got bidding for a light tan interior
