Thanks for the link Reg & Rob. I do feel embarrassed as i wasnt born when Starsky & Hutch was broadcast here in SA and had never heard of this series yet Dad remembers the days.

MM, yes Dads Capri paintwork does however resemble the Starsky & Hutch vehicle but Dads says that he didnt actually copy that idea but he needed to do something different to the paint design and so simply followed the contours & lines of the Capri body, hence the end result. Notice the air-intake scoop on the bonnet and the rear tail fin. I asked if he would do a similar styling on another Capri if the occasion ever arises and he responded NEVER!!!!!

I remember those double row high waistband trousers Alex, I also remember that the bottom of the legs had large turnups that caught coins and most other things that dropped into them.

Indeed JB i had several pairs of brothel creepers in my youth!!

I remember playing football in my high waister flares, you needed to run several yards before your trousers moved, the opposition could hear you approaching a mile away with your trousers flapping in the breeze!!!!!!!!!
