My Matchbox knowledge has a very clean cut at the termination of the regular wheel era.

For me the line bounding my main area of interest includes the regular wheel era but also includes super fast castings which originally had regular wheels. Think of it as another wheel type: MW, GPW, SPW, BPW & SF
Then I also add in realistic SF castings like the Europa and the Marzal.

Those are my areas of interest...my area of knowledge is much, much smaller. In fact, I'm still looking for it!

no sweat Greg...we all have specific interests in the hobby...mine come about the 1965 era matchbox and runs to the early superfast era...and hot wheels...i was right on the line between the transitions...still have a few superfasts i had as a kid

Mine lie primarily in the Regular Wheel era and, more recently, the King Size/Speed/Kings/Super Kings. Oddly enough, as a kid, I would have played with very few Lesneys, if any at all. That might prompt me to branch into Universal-era 1-75s some day.

otherwise, ya I suppose a red and turquoise sf truck has some appeal to it......
