BT UK email problem

Post by Rob »

For those of us with BT email it looks like BT have a UK wide email/broadband problem, so far in less than 2 hrs of outage over 9000 complaints across the UK have come in to one forum, hopefully they will soon fix this, just letting any other members who may use BT of this issue...now reported on BBC news.

Thanks for the heads up Rob. My broadband has been ok today and so has my email. Although the BT mail site is down, I don't log into their webmail service directly, I download and upload mail using a pc client and that is still sending/receiving mail as normal fortunately.

BT are a right shower even at the best of times. I transferred from Residential to Business at the end of June last year and am still in dispute with them about the billing. Things have got so bad that I've had no option other than to present my case to the Ombudsman!

TBH honest I think they are all as bad as each other
AOL and was still being charged 6 months after canceling the contract
Talktalk kept threatening to cut me off for late payments when it was there accounts that credited my payments to the wrong account number
EE my current provider took 5 weeks to send a router then it would not connect and when it finely did the speed was 0.5m after many complaints and a threat to take them to court for miss-selling the service it went up to 8m but has now come back down to 3-4m
