Any info #62 Blue TV Service van with metal satellite dish

Post by Boys3j »

I found no other ones like it on a Google search. It appears all others are white with plastic accessories on top not a metal satellite dish. Thanks for any info.

Welcome to the forum
To me it looks like a code 3 the only dish like this that I can think of comes on the superfast badger and that is plastic anyway
Also it would be a help if you can resize pictures to about 600 pixels, we have a thread on it (can't get the link on my phone ) I've taken the liberty of doing this one for you

I think its home made!

If it would be a real part, it would have been made from plastic and if casted, it would be in one piece and either chromed, plated or painted. This thing has a chromed base and a piece of painted sheet metal. One can clearly see that there are two parts glued together. Even a trial would be casted in one piece.

Could you take photos from some other angles?

I noticed it also doesn't have the knobs on top to hold the ladder. I've added more photo's but not sure how to change the size from my phone.

I have resized the picture for. There is an 'App' that you can download into your phone that will resize images for uploading to social networks and forums. You might have to Google for it, as I do not know what it is called.

There are no other holes, just two braces, that may have been grinded.

This was bought at an Estate sale with about 25 other Lesney cars and trucks none of the others appear homemade or customized. Also not sure why they would grind off the ladder rack.

The rivet is clearly showing signs of tampering by a previous owner.
