Yes, it looks real.

But what do you mean by "rear window without ridges"? :?: I am not aware of any GT 40 with ridges in the rear window.

[quote="ChFalkensteiner"]It looks like it, but the baseplate picture is too blurred for me to be sure.

There is a Bulgarian variation which looks the same, except that the baseplate obviously says "Made in Bulgaria" rather than "Made in England".

The Bulgarian variation is probably at least as rare as the multipack issue made in England, but it is much less sought after.

I am trying to add a photo with the "Italian" and Bulgarian version side by side but I am told the file is too big aas the maximum is 256 KiB.

What do I do, please?

My mistake Christian, re the ridged rear window, I am getting the gt40 and the miura mixed up.

Hi Nigel. re 256kb limit. I'm not sure if it is because you are a new member with less than 3 posts.
But try clicking the "upload attachment" tab sited below the reply box, click "browse" and select your photo and then click "add the file",
repeat for each additional photo, I believe there is a max of 3 pics per post.

I am trying to post photos with the Bulgarian and "Italian" Ford GTs in yellow side by side but I keep being told the file is too large. Maybe when I have posted 3 times, it will accept me. There is a difference in colour even though it is just a shade.

There is probably a size limit on the size of a picture. Not the physical size, but the file size. If you want, you can email me the pics, and I will reduce their size and email them back, or just post them up on your behalf.

Here are some photos of Nigel's Ford GTs. He sent them over to me and I have reduced them in size to get them up on the site.

They show the differences between the English made example and the later Bulgarian one.

The blisterpacked model shown here is of course not a Bulgarian, but a Hungarian model.

Hungarian Ford GT40 models always feature "6" tampo stripes (in various colours) at the front, so there is no danger of a mixup there.

The Bulgarian factory, however, made Ford GT40 models without any tampo printing, and those included a yellow variation with red interior and black base, just like the sought after English made one.

Sadly I do not have a Bulgarian example in that colour scheme, so I am unable to provide a direct comparison.
