Dinky 25H, 25K and 250

Post by RVREVO »

Has anybody here collected the Dinky 25H, 25K, and 250?

Just won one I've been after for a number of years.
The 1937-39 Dinky 25K with Firemen.

Will show a photo later when I get home.
Am absolutely thrilled to add this to the collection.

In another forum there are a handful that have these.

Hi Mate,

I love the 25 Series Leyland Fire Engine, especially the Pre War version with the Firemen, please do post a pic of yours as all I have is this one without baseplate, rear axle or firemen!

BTW. This was found on a garage shelf last year where it had sat since about 1940!

Yours is a beauty Chris, it is a pre-war model and those are hard to come by in any condition of late. Are you going to restore it?

This is the 25k I managed to garner for my collection.

Cheers Mate,
No, I'm going to leave it exactly as it is, I think it makes it more interesting.

Fantastic old model, I wouldn't change it either. I even like the dust (it gives it a certain charm) :D

Good choice Chris, I like it, especially the green patina on the bell.
