Hello numi thank you making that offer too Dick (kwakers) but I am very grateful for what he has given me, at least I do have the photos.
Apart from that I have already posted it back to him, along with a model that he has been looking for.

Kwakers 9d Model.
Re: Kwakers 9d Model.
I will be checking my mailbox next week every day like we did in the good old snail mail days George. It sometimes took two months to complete any trade with a collector, so we built our collections very slowly and with patience. Trust was a must back then, there was no such thing as Negative Feedback when dealing with other Lesney collectors all over the world. Thanks George! kwakers

kwakers wrote:I think this may be the only time in my life to have to say no to you Numi! This is one of my favorite error models that I personally discovered, and it continues to give me pleasant memories of my friends at Carlisle every time I see it on it's shelf in our collection. As your subnote says, all the money in the world cannot bring me the contentment this model has since I found it at Spring Carlisle in 2011. It is pretty impossible for me as a serious detail collector to part with any of the many unique Lesney pieces in our collection, (no matter what condition they may be in) until a duplicate of that error or variation is found some time in the future. Mick calls us (Greedy) "Completists", some call us Hoarders, so I answer to both terms...
Sorry Numi, George now has a few more models he had needed for his collection, but not my cherished Boat in pieces. kwakers
Thanks Kwakers for your honest & unapprehensive response. Many would be just too scared to say NO to Numikerbside wrote:Hello numi thank you making that offer too Dick (kwakers) but I am very grateful for what he has given me, at least I do have the photos.

Re: Kwakers 9d Model.
Thank You for the Butterscotch 11A Tanker George, that one and the Boat in pieces arrived safely in yesterday's mail. I will give that Tanker a very good home as you have George, and now it's time to locate an original playworn red 11A with side decals on it. I have seen a couple of mint ones being offered, but aftermarket decals and decal reassignments make that variation much too easy to fake.
Thanks for your offer of another Lesney model to trade Numi, but I am afraid I get too emotionally attached to Lesney models we have found and collected, or been given by other collectors over the years. There are actually a couple of variations from you that I equally would not part with at all. They make me smile as I think of your generosity to others as you have built your own Lesney collection. kwakers

Hi Dick I am glad you received the models, I was beginning to doubt if you would get it with all that snow in the Eastern side of the USA.

Re: Kwakers 9d Model.
It has been a very strange year for weather in upstate New York George. While remote parts of Virginia were buried under 20+ inches of Snow, we in the Ski and snowmobile capital of New York State have only traces of snow left in most places. We have only had 2 very minor snowfalls, but I am not complaining about that at all. Our local Sacandaga Ice fishing contest cannot be held because of lack of ice on the reservoir, so alternate Winter events must be planned in every area of upstate N.Y. this year.
Before the Climate change blokes scream CO2 emissions, the Canadian wind patterns have changed this year for us, leaving all that Arctic air to travel further South and hassle the mid Atlantic Coast and inland areas this year with snow and ice they seldom experience. I had a single stall Carriagehouse roof to completely rebuild that even needed structural trusses we had to completely replace. I am almost finished with that huge job as of today with the help of two of my Sons, so I cannot complain about this Winter's mild weather. It has seemed more like November or March around here lately, so I am Thankful for the Great working weather to start off an easy 2016. My Toy shopping has suffered this year, but after last year's best ever finds and purchases, I can take a breather to catalog and enjoy what I was able to find from some very nice offerings I had run into.....Time to study them a bit after dark in the Cave tonight if I have the energy left to do so. Those Boys work the heck out of me...... kwakers
