Superfast 10d/58c question
Superfast 10d/58c question
Quick question for you guys. When the Pipe Truck and Girder Truck made the transition to the Superfast line, they went from metal supports on the side to the plastic piece. Is that plastic piece the same on both models? I just bought a white DAF transitional for cheap on eBay, but it's missing that piece. I think I have some extra transitional pipe trucks. I'm away from my collection right now and my curiosity is getting the better of me. Thanks!

I am also without my collection to hand as it is in storage at the moment but from memory both models have the same plastic supports.

Cool, thank you for the response. It wouldn't make sense for them to make two different parts for those models really. Hopefully I do have an extra one, this will prove to be a good deal!

According to Nick's site they are the same component and I quote...
..."Perhaps for safety reasons, the blunt spikes cast as part of the load bed which secured the girders were deleted and 2 holes cast in the centre of the loadbed to secure the black plastic 4 pronged clip , (an identical component used on the #10 Pipe truck) that retained the girders"...

Yes, they are identical, but I have found that they can sometimes be difficult to remove without breaking.
