I can't remember if this has been mentioned before, but there is a good, on-line reference catalogue for the early, large-scale toys (including casting variations) here.
Whilst we're at it, there's also this site with lots of mouthwatering photographs of the early, large-scale models (but try not to droll over your keyboard!).
