For me the yellow boxes never held any attraction, simply because they are just that, a yellow box. As mentioned the yellow box is probably the most technically correct if it were a standard model, but this is a pre-pro. Also I like to see the different artwork on the boxes every time I look at a model, as for me that forms part of the overall display and attraction.
If it were me deciding on which box to put this model with I would be of the opinion that being a pre-pro it deserves better than a yellow box, I would want to highlight it on display.
This model does have an England base and therefore could be paired with in an England era box, certainly many collectors of England bases would want that. Therefore I would choose a 2nd issue 43b Dragon Wheels box for these reasons, and because it is a good compromise between the earlier boxes and the later ones.
Thanks for your opinions Gentlemen, most grateful.
Since u guys are so rewarding in my life i decided to keep all three boxes for this VW Big Blue prepro and will be alternating their parkings in their different garages,.....after every car show
