I've always liked how this model looks with those big fine tread gpws. Wish I had one!
The C box isn't period correct for this model, right? I recently found a B box for 12b, and I put an early knobby wheel variant in it.

Re: 12B GPW & Grading Question
Tinman: put a ruler across the top of window frame and level - yes, it's dust checked & no corrosion. Think you also hit the nail on the head with the rarity comment
fintail: it came with a B4 box - wasn't sure if this was correct as when I check Nick's Pictoral Guide saw one paired with a C box as well as D boxes.

Would the D box be the correct one?
motorman: have included some outdoor close ups of the wheels.

Ah, all good then. So hard to tell some things from photos alone. With regard to the axle ends, I didn't see anything in the photos that worried me, they look very normal.tractorboy wrote:Tinman: put a ruler across the top of window frame and level - yes, it's dust checked & no corrosion.
