...yes I remember, and I posted a minter with box in the 'Matchbox Copies' thread and then at the recent 'Reading Vintage' toy fair, I looked at another example with the intention of buying, but did not and glad really, because the one shown here is in much better condition and I am really pleased with it, its taking me right back to the mid-60's when I had all these sorts of toys in my toy box and with the purchase of this added to some already in my non R-R collection, I am convinced a Man can stay a Child and refuse to 'Grow Up'...

Got to go now, the Kettle has just come to the boil...it was "White with"...!

In my attempt to find one particular Vauxhall model to show on the forum, I unearthed these from my previous old Vauxhall toy and model collection...

All completely forgotten about, so it was a nice surprise to see these in the same box. I have a lot more to discover as well, because I found my original listing and there are some nice models on it that I know have not seen the light of Day in Years.

Potters Bar toy fair, 10th Janurary, 2016.

No Rolls-Royce additions, but I did buy this 40th Anniversary Range Rover by Corgi.

This is in 1/36th scale and quite basic but does have opening front doors, and tailgate. I like Range Rovers and always wanted this one when it first came to market, but never got round to buying it, so for £5 this is a nice addition to the collection.

I also got something I never had as a Child, the Silver-Grey version of the Aston Martin DB5 'James Bond' car.

This is model number 270, the direct replacement for the earlier version in Gold and it is in 1/43rd scale, the earlier model was just an adaptation of a model Corgi already had in their range, so was not in 1/43rd scale.

This is the better version with the addition of revolving number plates and tyre slashers on the rear wheels.

I never had this as a Child because I already had the Gold version which despite being played with was still in excellent condition, as were all my toy cars.

This model tends to be quite expensive because of it's status, so for £35, I am very happy to have this in my collection.

I would like one of them RangeRovers  the wheels are naff but the model is nice.
I have the gold DB and the later silver DB , The one you have is definitely the best version. :)

Thank's Daz, the wheels are a bit odd, not really looking very authentic, but they did do this model with 'vogue' wheels in the same colour as the body and it looks lovely, the model also had a deeper front spoiler.

Thank's Alex, it was a good price so I did not even attempt any haggling. They do exist on the net but the prices are usually out of my budget, I might have a struggle finding a box for it now!

Great to see you and Reg on Sunday Ghosty. Very nice DB5, a box would set you back a bit, especially one of those nice low profile ones. For presentation though, the little card stands with the opened card at the back look great. It's hard to believe the Range Rover will be 50 in about 5 years time! :o

...and it was nice to see you again John.

Not much fayre at Potters Bar but after lunch I went round again for the last look to see if I had missed anything and decided I wanted the Aston Martin, especially at that price.

I look forward to the next meeting and maybe see you again, if the weather is anything like it was on the Sunday, I'll be in the Rolls-Royce (if Marmaduke has cleaned it properly!).

Thank you Numi, £35 for that particular version of the James Bond car is very low, look for it on fleabay and you will see them a little bit dearer... :D
