"National" Petrol Promotion

I like that a lot Hugh and have a vague memory of this or a similar promotion, I know there used to be football tokens (usually world cup years) and also Smurfs
Kev all you need to know is if it's a long seat or not

That thought went through my mind, but even if it is, it does not really help with dating the actual model, because the reseacher for the promotion is likely to have brought that example from a shop which we know means old or new stock.

I also note the voucher says 'National' Petrol which as far as I know was not connected to 'Jet' Petrol at retail level...Hugh!

Well spotted! It must have been a National Petrol promotion. (I was going by thirty-something year old memories, and I know that the petrol station concerned was a Jet garage at sometime because I have various Jet-branded promotional items. The garage must have changed brands either before or after the Matchbox promotion.)
