Kerbside,
was looking at your pictures of the land rover fire truck. from the rear shot it appears in the picture that the model in the middle has a casting diff. of the bar that runs laterally above the number plate. It looks to be flatter and thinner or is it just how it appears in the pic?

Hello slicc64 A keen eye you have it is different it is thinner and more square it is also a good 1mm longer than the other ones.

Thank you for looking in at the castings.

The more I look at the models the more differences I see, like the casting difference either side of the number plate lines. Even the plastic interior seems more pronounced on one than on the other. :o :)

I know what you mean! Much clearer in this last pic.
I love the signature of one of the members here it sums it up nicely; "there's nothing regular about regular wheels"
can I add to that, the foot of the ladders!

Nice shots of the different coloured slides Dan - an often overlooked feature, and of course also often missing from beaters!

Cheers,
Gavin

thanks Gavin...i like to find a basic color example of these...i think it would be hard to find all the different greens out there...ive seen many but cant take the chance to buy a lot and find the colors are the same in hand vs what they looked like on my screen...but i can buy the blue some time as its very easy to spot...i have seen many of them but the two i remember seeing...one was to pricey and the other was too rough of a condition...one will turn up...its fun looking for there and the different colors look cool
