I'm struggling with which category this falls into. Can you give me an idea of the date, please?

In addition to my previous entry I would like to add this non Lesney item to the poll. Hopefully it is allowed??
Found in April last at the Dutch Namac swap meet; a Mercury Bentley S2. A scarce item with the very rare all chrome base plate and radiator. Got it for a snip and a peanut (including another repainted one).
Generally the base plates of these models are silver painted, and a chrome one seems to be as rare as hen's teeth. This model has been donated to our fellow member Fox (Stéphane), and now resides in his very special Mercury collection of Rolls Royce and Bentley models.

From what I know these were built by an Italian coach builder and based on a Ford Taunus . So not a Mustang
Someone will know for sure (won't you Kev)
Thank's Reg...

OSI (Officine Stampaggi Industriali), was part of the Ghia company allocated the job of designing and building short-run (about 2000), sports cars based on current (for the period), Ford components.

The car the SIKU model is based on was current from 1966-68.

I must admit that buying car books for many Years has given me a good reference library, I love books but have no more space for them and find it very hard to resist buying more at car boot sales and toy fairs.

It's called a Ford OSI on the box. I have a Ford Taunus Siku also so they are different. So I used Mustang for simplicity. 1966-68 is the correct time frame. Interestingly obscure old German made toys.

The Siku model was current from 1968 to 1972, it was available in Red or pale Blue.
