Yes, I have a bit of a soft spot for the Capri too.

I've owned one of the last 2.8 Injection Specials for over 20 years. V6, fuel injection, power steering, Limited Slip Differential, Half Leather interior..... lots of kit for a 1986 car. I know the reputation these cars have in the UK, but less than 100 were brought to New Zealand and they are really unusual now. They are agricultural compared to modern cars they have a certain rawness that makes me smile on the limited occasions I take it out on the open road. I do not have any pictures on this computer, but mine is similar to the one below, but has 15 inch versions of the 13inch 7 spoke wheels shown, which help fill the arches and make it look lower too....

Some great new stuff there, the Jeep is lovely in that light blue, and the railcar is really nice, glad you are going to get it looking smart again.
Your mulitbuckets amaze me, I'm still trying to find one that didn't get smashed up in the sandpit.
Cracking 2.8i! The last Capris were ace, I had a 1979 3.0 Ghia, the 2.8i would shut me down as it went round corners a bit, where mine handled like a grand piano pushed off a block of flats. I swopped it for a 78 Camaro which was worse!

It's interesting the variety of cars you have owned.

This weeks arrivals are the usual varied lot.

A couple of Phone Boxes





A non Dinky set of Scales......5.5cms High.....can any one identify these fore me please?





A non Dinky pair of Petrol pumps.......7.5cms high...Crescent I believe but confirmation from some one would be appreciated.

Second to last for this post a Hong Kong Dinky Chevrolet Corvair





With my other Hong Kong Dinky's, several more plus a colour variation to go to get the set



Finally a plea for assistance, you may recall earlier in the year picked up boxed partial set No51 Famous Liners. As you can see below I have managed to acquire two of the ships that were missing, However for the last 8 months the P&O Ship Strathaird has eluded me. Does any one have a non fatigued good condition example of this ship with its masts they would be prepared to part with? Alternatively can "we" collectively keep an eye out. Happy to pay all costs....just want to complete this set.

I would say the pumps are Britains - Crescent pumps look very similar but have a one piece display and three horizontal ridges around the base of the casting.
The scales match Crescent in the book that I have, but the photo in my book isn't too great so I may be wrong there.

Those pumps and scales are really familiar,I had the pumps years ago, but sorry I've no idea who made them. Atlas Phillips is lovely, original is amazing.
I love the HK Dinkys, and really want to put them with the Spot Ons, I've only got the Chevy, and a box for the Buick, but they're on the list, (isn't everything? )
Tel box is a great detail piece, I really want the pre war white one.

Re your Atlas Dinky Philips Renault, the roof sign is a different design on your original compared to the Atlas model, although I have seen pictures of original Dinky versions which look closer to the Atlas design:

I'd say the sign on the top of my original one is non original, I hadn't noticed the detail until getting the Atlas version.

I've been lucky enough to get a selection of Boxed Dinky's this week starting with my third train in what seems like as many weeks. This one a nearly 80 year old beauty still in a colourful solid box.

No 16 Silver Jubilee Train set produced in 1936-37.





Smooth hubs, white tyres and only the slightest hint fatigue on the loco roof casting join.





Along with two Fodens, a Mk1 Tanker with a little rust blooming through the paint on the tank:





A Mk2 Foden Flat Truck with chains





And a red Interior Mk1 Ford Escort Police car to complement the black interior car picked up earlier in the year.

Some nice additions Dave, love seeing original prices on the boxes for our models, simply inconceivable something like that 'Silver Jubilee' train has cost only 2/9...!

Always love the chained Fodens, wish I had had one as Kid, but I missed out on those models age wise, I am a 60's and 70's Dinky ownership kid...

The Red interior 'Police' Escort is the one I had and if I had a Black seat example in those Days, it would not have meant anything, but would have been nice to have now because of it's 'HTF' status, well done on now having the pair.

No 16 Silver Jubilee Train set produced in 1936-37.

Have you got the carriages in the wrong order? (I would have though that the convex end of the carriage immediately behind the engine should fit into the concave end of the second carriage.)
Interesting to note that the box artwork depicts articulated carriages with a shared bogie, whereas the model is cast as if the carriages had separate bogies.
