Introduced in late 1969, the Rolls-Royce DHC was intended to be a 'Regular Wheel' model but the 'Low Friction' craze from America saw to that idea and it became a 'Superfast' model as part of the Second batch of models in the new range.
A 2 door Silver Shadow coupe was introduced in 1966 as an alternative body style to the standard 4 door saloon of 1965, then a convertible version was introduced in 1967 and the Lesney model is based on this car.
This car was renamed in 1971 to Corniche and so many times Silver Shadow cars are called Corniche, some even having Corniche wheel trims fitted to help with the deception!
