Here is something I did about the wheels that was going to be in my magazine mentioned earlier but was left out. I was not happy with my dates of when the 'Capped' wheels replaced the original 'Bearing' wheels, it was either 1969 or 1970, difficult to confirm this, but it may be interesting for you so I have added it hear.
You might have to left-click on the image to see it fully displayed.

Re: Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow by Hot Wheels
At last I have found my few examples of the Silver Shadow, it was a case of just picking on any of the boxes recently moved within my collection and looking inside to see if I needed the contents with me at my Father's house and hey, there they are, tucked in a corner with some 'Pull-Back' caricature Phantom V models, so I can now answer a question set by "Ritchie" in an earlier post.
"Ritchie" asked if the Grey model on the left in the above picture, was a 'Short Engine' version without the Black Vynil roof representation...Yes Ritchie, it is and it also has the bearing wheels and boot detail.

Thanks ghostie, so i think the Blocked inner arch areas model (right) should be earlier casting and the clear inner arch areas model should be later casting?GHOSTHUNTER wrote:At last I have found my few examples of the Silver Shadow, it was a case of just picking on any of the boxes recently moved within my collection and looking inside to see if I needed the contents with me at my Father's house and hey, there they are, tucked in a corner with some 'Pull-Back' carachature Phantom V models, so I can now answer a question set by "Ritchie" in an earlier post.

and i'm quite interested in the 'Pull-Back' carachature Phantom V models, are they larger scale toys than 1/64?
Cheers,

And I recently found 2 light brown (or tan) interior examples, red and grey. It's also known to exist in aqua black roof model.
the colour is more clear to look from the rear wheel arch.

Lighter Brown seats, Hmm, interesting, wonder why they have never been seen before!
The 'Caricature' cars are made in China and marketed by 'DIL' and possibly a few others, certainly by 'CORGI' in the U.K. Not sure what scale you can class them as, but one model is half the length of the 'HOT WHEELS' Silver Shadow.

Borrowed this picture of the Corgi version from my "GHOSTHUNTER" magazine as once again the model is not with me.

Found an example of this 'Caricature' car, marketed by one of the "others":
The base reads:
Jeam Boy
(c) 1987
BON Co., Ltd
Made in China
