Those green versions of the 22 & 46 are awesome. Great prepro/color trial? Just another to look out for.

I don't think they are colour trials.
Oddities like these turn up every now an again, and my pet theory (no proof whatsoever) is that they were produced unofficially by workers at Lesney for family and friends who had that particular car in that particular colour. Quite how they smuggled a single body casting onto the paint line and were then able to recover it from the other end of the oven, I have no idea (it strikes me as being a difficult thing to do), but I think this goes at least some way towards explaining the lack of trim and the often dubious rivetting. It also provides an explanation of why such models do not include pre-production castings.

If your theory was true a cup of tea for the man on the spraying line would probably work

He did (and now I do :D ).
I'm at work right now but, if memory serves, the colour is a match to the 17a.
Well! The first of the faked copies didn't take long!

Come on Ghosty, we know you love a Vauxhall, give her a home (Vauxhall's are for life, not just Christmas).

Another playworn beauty added, this one had the complete windscreen and roof part missing. Donated kindly from another model, the sticker has got discoloured but looks ok on display. The base is white with the small R, wheels have no foil which look origional.
