A couple days ago, I was browsing Ebay for the Corgi Jeep CJ-5 casting, as I'd recently decided to fix up a real CJ-5 that's been neglected here on the farm way too long (15 years, plus when it was on my great uncle's farm before it was sold to my father). Most of them, which were red, cost $20 plus shipping. Well, I browsed down to the International Sellers section, and happened upon an auction for a green one (the same color as the real one!) that had not been bid on that was only 1 GBP. I put my bid in at that time, as I wasn't going to be at the computer at the time that auction ended. Well, that morning I found I won the auction. Counting shipping, it cost me the equivalent of about $10 USD.

What year did Corgi come out with the CJ-5? The real one I have is a '67, and I know major changes came to the body of the real thing in 1975, and also a Golden Eagle package started becoming available that year (Corgi did do one as a Golden Eagle).

Re: Corgi Jeep CJ-5
Hi Cody, Corgi introduced their 1/36th scale Jeep in 1979 as model number 441. it was produced in several colours until 1983. Set versions were then produced from 1984 onwards, one set including the smaller Jeep model from their 'Juniors' range, so you get Two for the price of One!!
