Anybody Sold Via Vectis Before?

Post by CharbensYY »

Has anybody any experience good or bad selling with Vectis before?

I've emailed them last week with some photos of my 250+ Charbens that I am thinking about selling as a job lot (or job lots!), but am yet to hear back as yet.

Oh yes, all here: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=4276

Anybody who is really interested can see some closer shots in this album:

Wasn't sure how long to wait for them to reply to be honest. I would have hoped for atleast a holding email along the lines of 'Thanks, somebody will have a look' within a day or two. So thought I'd ask see if anybody else had dealings with them and what they thought.

Hi Vectis are very busy at the moment they have just had a couple of big auctions, invoices & packing take up a lot of their time plus they have started to sort out Decembers auctions. I have dealt with them for many years they seem to get a good price. Selling commission can be quite high if you have 200 models they may put them in groups & fit them in with another collection. They normally like to auction five to six hundred lots in a day you can check some of their past auctions this may be helpful Pete.

Hi James.
I have been a buyer and a seller at vectis, I have no complaints either way, perhaps they could ship a little quicker but with thousands of auctions ending each week I think they do a fair job. But they are undoubtedly the leader in their field and they reach a global network of collectors and regularly realise the top prices for collectable toys.
