Hi,
this is a very good conversion. Chapeau.
What I do not understand is why you removed the last pillars.
Wouldn´t it look better with the pillars?

That is an awesome conversion. Very similar to the actual model.
Re: #57 Chevrolet Impala wagon .
As matchboxtom has shown, the layout of the two-tone scheme is incorrect. But it looks terrific. It's hard to do metallics on a scale model because the flakes are optimized for 1:24 at best.

I was going to paint it like above but after 20+ hours work i didnt think a 2 minute paint job would matter that much .

Gary, are you saying you only spent two minutes on the paint or ... what does this mean exactly?mrmoko wrote:I was going to paint it like above but after 20+ hours work i didnt think a 2 minute paint job would matter that much .
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

Forgot to mention. I TOTALLY WANT ONE!!!!!!
Re: #57 Chevrolet Impala wagon .
Fine metallic paints are available, and they make all the difference in the world with the finish. For me personally, the body work is wasted unless the paint finish is right. I will strip a new paint job one or even two times and start all over to get the right finish. Here's some examples of metallic finishes that come really close to the original Lesney finishBernie wrote:It's hard to do metallics on a scale model because the flakes are optimized for 1:24 at best.
