I think that the fraudsters who watch this site must be having a field day thinking of all the new variations they can make.

I am not really sure what this means. To me it reads like you don't want any new variations discovered, or that you don't want any variations discussed or both???

My purpose for the thread is promote discovery on the exact nature of the silver trim on the driver. To clear up the time line and a secondary outcome of the discussion is to seek information on the final casting variation which reverted back to white trim. IMHO none of these models were from Bronner's office display, they were not salesman's samples, they were not color trials nor were they one off experiments from Jack's department. IMHO, they are all production line variations.

The thread has nothing to do with fakers and fakes. There has been too much wild speculation and I'm only looking for facts derived from hands on inspection of members models. It would be most helpful if such observations were simply reported without an imaginative and speculative back story being created to go with the observation(s).

Strangers are friends we do not know.Its truly heartbreaking to read that friends can become strangers once again.The common saying is that we all should be heard and not trodden cos we think & act differently hence our different opinions in life.Failure is success and healthy debate is education.Confusion is a good thing as it eventually bring about affirms.Personal attacks,retaliation & insults are commonplace all around unfortunately but should never occur on a friendly open public forum and personal attacks is inadvertently an attack on our Maker as our souls belong to Him.Humility is key.In life its better to accept the dry bun than just vie for cream & no bun.

We had a discussion back on Lefora about this variation. The 7a with GPW and mask sprayed silver trim. Many thought the driver was part of the mask spray application and I argued that the drivers were hand painted and only the crates were mask sprayed. Here's some proof that the driver was not mask sprayed and that paint was hand applied to the driver. Obviously, not all the workers got the memo that the driver was to be detailed in silver too.

Hello Joe, Hugh, Mick and all,

The opening paragraph and photo reference mask spray silver crates and white hand trim to driver hat. The subsequent posts by other members reference the silver mask spray photo numerous times.

However there is a mistake that requires correcting.

Joe has posted a photo of a 7A with white crates that appears to have a coating making it look like silver to most members. To my knowledge no one else spotted this error or at the least made any comment.
Enquiries were made to the source of the photo and it has been confirmed that the crates are indeed white.
What this means is the thread is misleading in part and therefore we need a review before any more discussion continues based on “mask spray silver crates with white driver hat” in the opening post.

Could Joe please shed some light on this photo error.

I look forward to any comments.
