My example def has black tinted windows rather than bronze tinted and the interior is two tone on seats one a shade of brown and the other could even be described as a dark mustard

The Dinky TR7 has a much more realistic length-width ratio and a nicer detailed interior than the Juniors model but is a bit too lightweight to be a classic Dinky

Interesting that all three of your Dinky TR7s have a grey interior. My red version and my rallye version both have black. Black bumpers too.

I believe the Black plastic components were intended for the 'Purdy' version of the TR7, so of course the other models in the range adopted the same component after this time, hence you can find both colours across the models.

Took my gold plated tr7 to toy specialist in Halifax - he does work for auction houses in an advisory capacity . He stated it was pretty much certain someone had got the limited edition example and decided to personalise it painting the interior two tone and changing the bronze smoked glass for black smoked glass etc ,he said it was known as code 3 because if it had been factory they would have riveted the base to body not used screws as my example has .He claimed corgi would not have used outside persons or companies to personalise models to be used as special editions .I am willing to go with him 99% there is just a nagging doubt re the 1% that it came about via different means.

Hi birdy, welcome back. No, I am not aware of any new or additional information has been offered to the forum. Might be worth us doing some fresh digging around the net!
