Thanks for your comments. I just had a quick view at the pictures, did some research and directly contacted the seller. You weren't able to see the uncomplete date on the pictures, but the rivet's looked fine to me. It costs less than 25€, what was the next reason to try it

Yes that could match..sadly I haven't a SF Lincoln. The closest colour I could find in my collection is from a Superkings DAF Truck (with that hut on the back), although the Draguar seems to have a bit more gold in it's colour.

I would say it is the same casting to the production run models. I compared them a few times today and wasn't able to see any difference.

But I find a variation between production run models, which isn't listed at Nick's guide or Christians list. I'am sure someone noticed it before, but there is a small difference in the front wheel arches.
Don't know how to describe this, just have a look at the pictures

What do you think, how many were made of these met lime Draguars?

We know that the Draguar with light orange interior was the first issue. So first picture should be the first casting (same casting as my colour trial) and second picture the second casting.

I believe there are differences on the platform under the engine in an attempt to stop the engine falling out easily, now because the engine is with your example it seems silly trying to remove it to have a look, but if this is an early body casting and the 'Pre-Pro' status we are leveling at it, suggests it is, it should be easy to remove the engine, so you can compare the casting with a later production model and you don't say if those blocks in the wheel arches are on the Green model, are they there?

I carefully removed the engine (goes easy because it does not have the later added enginemounting), but it is still the same casting. My lime green Prepro does have the blocks, as my early run (gold primer, light orange interior) has. The Casting has been changed later in the models life, as my later run model (ivory or vanilla interior, I'm not sure on that) does not have these blocks.

Pre-production castings were often used for colour trials of NEW soon to be introduced models rather than existing models being considered for recolours - best known example is the reverse 13d wreckers all done before boom was thickened.The fact that the model appears totaææy complete and finished except for the last year digit implies development has been completed on this toy when this was made
