Tekno Ford Lorries
Re: Tekno Ford Lorries
That's a lovely item. Your collection is certainly getting an international flavour. Are the Triangel wheels an error, or were Tekno habitually sloppy when it came to applying the specific V8 wheels?

I see lots of Teknos here in Denmark but have never noticed this truck with Austin shaped grille before, clearly uncommon in any version.....
Re: Tekno Ford Lorries
Cheers all,
Yeah I noticed the Triangel hubs too Fred, to be honest I don't know enough about these to say, but it may have had them swopped at some point?

Hi all,
As I'm starting to really enjoy the early Tekno stuff now, is there a good book with lots of pictures, (doesn't matter if it's in English then!) showing the early range?

Re: Tekno Ford Lorries
The Tekno 'bible' I mentioned pictured every Tekno ever made (or at least the ones the authors had ever seen.).
There are 4 versions, all hard to find now, all by Dorte Johansen and Hans Hedegard from Denmark.
1st version was B&W and softbound; last version was hardbound from 2007: "TEKNO SAMLERKATALOG"
Here's one: http://www.amazon.com/Tekno-Danske-Mode ... 8798168401 (none for sale there though)
Two middle ones are shown here: http://www.teknoschuco.online.fr/colbibli.htm
Many, many photos are on this site: http://tekno-vilmer.dk/index.php?ID=6&lang=da - if you find some other books or websites, let us know!

Re: Tekno Ford Lorries
If they have been swapped it should be possible to see some pressure marks on the inside of one wheel on each axle...starni999 wrote:Cheers all,

The Danes are masters of repairing and restoring Teknos and you have to come to one of our toyfairs to believe the amount of new factory original unused as well as 2nd recovered spare parts available for this range as well as full restorations near impossible to distinguish from mint originals -standards and possibilities seem much greater than we see online from dinky and corgi restorers!
