Hi,
today two more models are ready.
The idea for the Land-Rover was not mine - I saw a picture of such a model in the net and had to make one for my own.
The Rolls was very playworn as you can see on the original wheels in front.
I tooked sparewheels from a Greyhound bus.

Re: My latest news
Another nice pair of models saved from the rubbish bin and I am all for saving models in virtually any condition, I have some real beaters now, but they do serve a purpose, so they stay with me until all eternity...
The Rolls-Royce in a dark colour certainly is right for a Phantom V, but no good for the School Boy buying it, he simply won't see it among all his other toys and bits'n Bobs he carries in His pockets...

Re: My latest news
That James Young 44B Phantom V is the MB #1 for me.
This black repaint could have done with just a sniff more detail in the bumper area (front and rear) as well as the radiator.
May I be so bold as to show one of mine with that particular detail (even white wall tires) and the window sills with a bit of silver lining.
But let me be clear any 44B deserves to be preserved, whatever the state it is in.

I must say that I was a bit affraid to spoil the paint around the grill and bumper so I only silvered the radiator and the headilights.Ecclesley wrote:This black repaint could have done with just a sniff more detail in the bumper area (front and rear) as well as the radiator.

But after having seen your Rolls I think I will have to change that again.
Thanks

I started to dismantel this 54b Cadillac ambulance.
Could anybody please tell me how to remove the window inlet?

Ummmm......I have the idea I'm missing something here, but surely the way to remove the window insert is to drill out the retaining rivet.

Re: My latest news
It does look as if that is all that is required, but maybe after doing that (and it does look like Stephan has attacked the rivet), the glazing is still not being released and possibly the windscreen is still holding the whole unit in place. I am sure it is just a tight fit coupled with dirt and old-age issues that prevents it from just falling out easily.
