The NAMC’s “Catalog of all Series Matchbox Models” (second edition) distinguishes between the peach body colour of the first, tan-interior release and the subsequent light green interior model, the latter's body colour being termed "light peach". In addition the GPW version of both this and the later darker peach-bodied version are stated to have either light or dark GPW. Variation 39-1H is interesting, being the darker peach body with the light green base but with a driver having both a hat and a horizontal steering wheel (see AIM comment below). This would easy to swap on this model, but do any Members also own such an example?
The AIM's “1-75 Series Regular Wheels” catalogue (second printing, 1983) also highlights the two different GPW shades and further states that both the body and the interior comes in several different shades, and that the driver can be switched with those from 2a or 12a and cannot be verified as being produced by Lesney
Neither Stannard nor Houghton list any new variations
U.K. Matchbox examined the model in Vol. 5, no. 2 (Jun. '81) p52 with a follow-up in Vol. 5 no. 3 (Aug. '81) p87 and confirms the existence of light and dark GPW. However, no new variations are listed.
