RW25 A Bedford DUNLOP Van

Post by Ergomatic »

Just arrived the van on the left. It has metal wheels, flat head crimped axles, but with gloss black base. I didn't find this variation in Nick's table. Did you find this variation?

The dull base in question could have occurred due to a chemical application, enviromental factors or having been over-painted.

Nicely spotted. I think we may have discussed this on Lefora (Antonin, do you or anyone else remember?) I have one, (flat head crimped axles and metal wheels) but with a satin base, not flat or gloss, just to confuse things :)

Hello Ergomatic, Numi and John,
Not confused at all John…. :)
I had a look through my catalogue notes but could not see any Lefora reference, so here is a pic which may show the satin you mention.
I have these three metal wheels coded as per photo. The one on the left (always been boxed) I consider quite different to the others but unlike the ergomatic example has dome crimped mw. Always happy to recode if I find a glossier gloss, perhaps when I find the bpw version. :o :D :D

Regards
Bert

Thanks for the photo Bert. I dug out an old photo of mine to show the flat and satin finishes. Excuse the interloper there, I think I must have been missing a gloss black van and used the Fairlane for comparison.

Thanks Numi, John and Bert!

I don't see anythig false, but I think you have much more experience than me, so - as always - I am open to send you this model for a check, the postage cost HU/GB/HU is mine. Just inform me!
