Jensen´s promotional Hillman Imp

Post by SMS88 »

The Corgi Jensen´s promotional Imp isnt easy to find and when they do show up they are usually trashed - Corgi´s shoddy plastic suspension let this casting down so easily..........

Impressive that two of those Imps still have their suitcase, although one of them seems to be full of lead!

I see you have 2 'Jensons' Imps Mick, what do these command at auction in mint condition? quite a lot i would think, so it must be pleasing to have 2 to look at every day!!!!

Have you seen any Jensens Minis in Denmark? The reason I am asking is that I was talking to a Corgi collector who was of the opinion that the Minis weren't genuine and had been made more recently. Any thoughts on this theory?

Jensens decalled Minis are regrarded as UK made fakes using original decals sold off when the original Corgi company went bankrupt.None were ever found in Denmark by collectors I have met who remembered buying Jensens Imps and Mostest Minis brand new in the late 1960s.Mint boxed blue Minis are not scarce in the UK so are easy to find to add value to unused decals. These Jensens Imps have the yellow seats standard to the metallic dark blue issues uniquely combined with a shade of blue which may or may not have been used on Panda Imps.BTW the spare Imp to swap/sell is centre of photos with complete Jensens decals.............

Thanks, I thought that was the situation, and thought you'd be in a good position to confirm. Makes the outrageous prices I have seen asked for the Minis even dafter!

I thought you meant the two with the luggage :)

I've seen playworn examples go for good money, so a mint model might lead to a bit of a bidding frenzy.
