Made in Bulgaria
Re: Made in Bulgaria
Very nice, i would like to have the metallic colour issues of the 1970 models in the bulgarian range but so far relatively high costs have just encouraged me to buy older toys available locally!

Re: Made in Bulgaria
I found someone selling these at the Falkirk toyfair a couple of years ago, They were still on the card and had 14 of them and were asking £2.50 each so I bought the lot for £35.

Re: Made in Bulgaria
As per your Hungarian Rolls-Royce collection, another fabulous collection.
These come from 1985-86 and on my master listing for these, I have 16 versions recorded.
Rather strangely, I have not recorded how many examples I actually own in my collection, how did I manage to miss doing that...
that's given me something else to do, not that I was sitting around doing nothing, thinking what I can do next, far from it, I do something to my collection every day and if I am away from home, I sort stuff out on the laptop.
Excellent pictures by the way,
Regards,
GHOSTHUNTER.

I think my collection shown above should cover all the body colour for Bulgarian Rolls. Would be interested to know if there are more. Variations on window and baseplate colours I have just one example of each. Will show later.
I maintained my collection listing on Excel from day one. It is very easy with its sorting function, just a few clicks to sort models out.
Cheers,

Re: Made in Bulgaria
I am not aware of any other body colours on the Bulgarian Rolls-Royce; in fact I had not seen the silver-grey variation before.ritchie wrote: I think my collection shown above should cover all the body colour for Bulgarian Rolls. Nine different body colours, three different baseplate colours (silver-grey, black and gold), two different window colours (colourless and amber) - this makes a total of only 54 variations to collect (assuming all possible combinations exist, which is not confirmed but seems likely): a rather small quantity by Bulgarian standards!

Yes, the silver variation is rare as I understand. For this silver paint it was said only applied to a few other early models such as the BMW 3.0 CSL, Citroen SM, Lamborghini Miura, Lotus Europa, and Mercedes Benz 300 SE. I attached detailed pictures below. The spots of green paint at the bottom was that in Bulgarian production they don't hang to dry but placed on conveying belt instead. So there may be traces of other paint, as is often seen on other models.
