CORGI 256 VW 1200 East African Safari : a risky encounter

Hello Guys,
my last purchase: a near mint CORGI 256 VW Safari
(the previous owner have erased the number one...why?...I don't know)
in a "dangerous" situation....... :D

Is it just me or are all the pictures in boxes much smaller than the photos? It's hard to get an idea of the fullness of the subject when I can only see one-tenth at a time. Despite that, I can see that the VW is in excellent condition. Sha,me about the missing 1, but I notice the decal on the front is a bit dodgy too. Perhaps some repro are in order. Do you go in for that sort of thing or is it strictly original for your collection?

Perhaps the original owner was Chinese - 8s are lucky for them
