dennis fire escape with grey plastic wheels
hello, a few years ago, I bought on ebay for 15 euro the model number 9b dennis fire escape, with gray plastic wheels, I 'd like to know if someone thinks it's a rare model or not, thanks.

I would class it as borderline rare.

It took me a LONG time to surface one! Felt pretty close to rare for me, but that's just my experience.

Nick lists the GPW as very rare on his website.
Happy hunting!

Maybe its location, but I have at least a dozen. Most of my ones have been playworn though. I have a couple for sale at the moment.

Re: dennis fire escape with grey plastic wheels
Earlier this year I picked one of those up at a local flea market, and when I got it home and compared it with my other example, it turned out to be a much brighter shade of red. It has therefore entered my collection as my second GPW example of 9b.
In the meantime I have also found a metal wheel 9b in that same brighter shade. The difference is very noticeable in real life (all my 9a examples are also in the darker, duller shade of red), but I doubt if I could manage to make it noticeable in a picture, as shades of red are notoriously difficult for me to reproduce in pictures.
I think that over here in Europe, the 9b with GPW is not much scarcer than the 9b with MW. The 9b in general is much scarcer than the 9a though.

It's rare in the USA. My example came from Australia and now lives with Christian.nearlymint wrote:Maybe its location, but I have at least a dozen. Most of my ones have been playworn though. I have a couple for sale at the moment.
