Bitten by a Superfast bug

Post by zBret »

While my collection focuses mainly on 1-75 RW, I just couldn’t pass up taking a shot at this lot, which I very much by chance happened across. I was able to spot a few gems in the lot... so I threw in a bid and to my great surprise, I won! In fact I was the sole bidder. 39 models plus a carry case, that with the shipping, came out to just a tad over 1€ per model, was rather pleased to have received them, just yesterday. These are the first Superfast that I have ever bought “on purpose”, so a first for me.
I will say the 25D was not a Superfast and the 75b was not RW That would have been hoping for too much!

Well done zBret, you see, the transition from 'RW' to 'SF' was quite painless for you and it means your Bank manager keeps His sanity...!!

Some separate pictures of the models perhaps would now be nice.

Ghosty, as I have mentioned to Motorman... no, no no I must resist!
I think i have already driven the bank manager crazy lol
I think the nicest gem in the lot is the 7d Hairy Hustler Scorpion, bronze, light amber glazing, 137 side labels and turquoise base.

Another nice surprise the 66c with the pale yellow base color of the 45b

Special thanks to Motorman (Alex) for pointing out this variation to me, and to all of the other members who post on the forum, for without the wealth of info found here, I would nothing from nothing.

Great stuff zBret, you can always be relied on for a laugh, thank's.

That #7d certainly is nice and thank's for showing the base, a colour used on the fabled #69 Drop-Top Rolls-Royce base, of which I am still yet to see... :x

Heres one for you Ghosty
I'm not sure if this one has the flared wheel openings or not?
It does have the 2mm wheels.

Aw, thank's mate. That is the version with opened-up wheel-arches for the wider wheels (but not yet fitted to the model!) and the missing 'Trim-Strip' along the body side, this model is what most collectors have as their first 'Superfast' #24 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow, but there are earlier versions with the 'Trim-Strip'.

Thanks Slicc
It seems to be an original SF68c Porsche 910 white Brroomstick version, no signs of re-painting :D
My understanding is, these white ones are less common.

A bargain full of good honest timeless classic models - uncommon carry case (maybe Hong Kong made not USA made) from I guess 1969 and the most valuable car is the Redline Neat Streeter - is it in good shape?
