The Matchbox club reproduction shop display stands.

Anyone have any idea on price? I hope they will sell loose tops as well.

Tom,

at the moment they are just checking how many collectors are interested in them, so they can figure out how much the production would be!

Of course an idea on price would make a big difference on how many I might want.

i would love to have one of the round small displays...i remember seeing one at the 5&10 i used to go to
Please use a web hosting site (like photobucket) to store pictures so you can post them here, using attachments makes it hard to view the pictures when you have to scroll to see them. Seeing comparisons of models is hard to see with attachments too.

Would love one of the yellow cardboard ones from 50s or early 60s - repro or not.
Saw something on a Kiwi website about knocking one up out of plywood.

As a collector who loves the older Matchbox Dealer Displays, I would say that these Displays look pretty nice.
It would be nice to have some general price range regarding the Displays as that would have a big impact on if folks are really interested in purchasing them.
The shorter cubed Superfast Display that came out while Matchbox was transitioning from regular wheels to Superfast is a pretty hard Display to come by in as an original. It generally fetches $200-$300 USD for a fair conditon one and going up towards $700+ USD for ones in excellent condition.

They opted to make the tall thin stand and it's going for 149.00 pounds sterling (about $232 USD) plus shipping costs. Looks pretty good in the email brochure they sent out.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

I to would love some of the old cardboard type displays. Bit more character to them but good someone is finally making some even if only a Reg wheel one.

I don't have any problem with reproduction displays and would love to have a few of the older paper ones as well. My problem will be when you start seeing these on Ebay offered as originals. I would like to see the reproductions having a distinctive marking that cannot be removed or changed. Just too many dishonest people out there.
