Hey everyone, been a while since I posted but saw this at mum's and couldn't not post it for you guys to see.
My mum worked for VW in the mid-late 60's and befriended the marketing girl. When they had new promotional items come through, she used to be given one of them.
This pic below is of one of the items she was given during her time there, I'm wondering if anyone has ever seen one of these before and if so, how much it might be worth?

Hi,
this Set is made by Wiking as a Volkswagen advertisment-set (Grüße aus Wolfsburg / Greetings from Wolfsburg) somewhere betwen 1963 and 1968.
Should be worth arround 250 Euro or even more - if all models and the box are in good condtion.

Blimey, thanks Stephan, out of interest, here's the other toy car mum has.
They'll probably go through vectis at some point as mum has a massive collection she would like to sell.

Re: VW Toy car set
That is one of the 'WIKING' 1/40th scale models with a removable body showing quite a detailed interior and engine bay. The actual example pictured seems not to have the front glazing moulding, dating this as mid to late 1950's production. These were also given away by VW dealers but were also retailed in shops.
Nice to see it with it's original rather delicate box, I would imagine a VW collector would pay handsomely for one of these earlier examples, as the later version had glazing fitted to the screen.
