Can anyone help to identify this brass casting?

Post by slicc64 »

looks old in hand.
Has a solid brass body, no interior or windows but has what looks to me to be professionally spun base rivets.
The body detail is excellent as are the proportions.
It's about 8" long [and so is the model]

There's a similar one online, made by FAL (Italy), whoever they are :)

It does look like a model from 'FAL'. I know they have done a Citroen (below) and the Rolls-Royce (belower...!), which is a larger copy of the 'SOLIDO' model, but they usually show a 'FAL' logo on the base somewhere.

We see many many 'Matchbox' copies out there, maybe this is another as yet unidentified manufacturer copying FAL??
