This Rolls Royce photo tour has been fun. It is Independence Day here in the US and while out for a brisk walk along the Little Miami River bike/hike trail I took the opportunity to get these photos to further feather Kevin's Rolls Royce nest. Kenny, the gentleman who owned the local "Whistle Stop" bar and grill, also owned this Rolls. Kenny died a couple of years back. No telling how long this one will be up on blocks. I would imagine the parking tickets are mounting up!

What a crying shame to see such cars left in this way, it looks to be in pretty good shape and needs saving, but the brake overhall will be around £3000 alone, then all the hoses and rubber protectors will be suspect, the fuel will be stale, the fuel pumps may not even now be working, it may well have the handbrake stuck in the 'ON' position making it a lot more difficult to move the car, the electrical circuits for door locking and window lifters will be dead and its not possible to open a window without power, you have to get inside the car, strip down the door card and trim and physically wind the window open with a small allen key on the motor shaft, very fiddly and time consuming.

A car in this condition can be had for £3000-£4000, if there are no damaged panels on the other side of the car and the interior is intact, but chances are the drainage holes all around the body will be blocked from Years of gunk and dead leaves, so rain water can not escape and spills over into the cockpit, making everything damp leading to a rotten interior and terminally rusted floor panels!!

The car by the way is a nice colour combination and looking like a 1976 Silver Shadow saloon in right hand drive.

Thank's Greg for showing it here, lets hope somebody can save it in the near future, as it would make a nice project for an enthusiast with big pockets... :D

Thank you Marcel for putting the peddle car here, I did see it on your other threads.

Difficult to say what Rolls-Royce this is based on, but nice to see it being used as everyday transport...

Thank's Peter, a nice late 1977 or 1978 series II Silver Shadow resprayed in a non-standard but very suitable colour and yes Alex, the glazing is tinted in what ever colour you see on your computer screen... :D
