Amazing!

Post by Viewfield »

OK, I was born in the first half of the twentieth century and technology has advanced but I am posting this from an Airbus 380-800 flying over somewhere on route from Frankfurt to Dubai. I find this simple amazing.

Fantastic! you are also still quite close to some Rolls-Royce technology, your plane should have the 900 series 'Trent' engines, maybe you can open the cowling in a spare moment and check this for me...

It wasn't me, honest!

Still quite amazed, you fly at 7 miles high and still have contact with you lot. Is there no peace?

Waiting for a connecting flight to Perth, will see if the internet works over the Indian Ocean.

You would hit the International space station long before you would reach the height where those satellites are orbiting .. so there's no worries about knocking out the connection. :D
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

Funny how it works as Fixer says 10 foot away and no signal yet up in a plane and all is fine. Hope Perth weather is warmer than Sydney Rod, bit chilly here at night.

So tried to post above the Indian Ocean but received the message " we are flying over an area where internet is not allowed".
The weather in Perth is rainy and to say the least "fresh".
Only here for 12 days as my son and his wife will be coming to Perth in October for four years and as the house rentals are high they have decided to buy a house. My son is travelling Europe with the Australian Kayak team so I got the job of accompanying my daughter-in-law in her quest!
