There is no hard evidence the 'AxxA' wheeled #69 was made in 1969, this is something that I hope can be resolved within this article of threads. If I had said it was made in 1970, then the question remains the same except for a date change and by posting a date of 1969 for it has brought reaction from you, which is good.
I am not able to study all my #69 models together at the moment, but will do so soon to see where in MY 'Time-Line', that particular example is placed. It would be nice to have a definite 1970 reference point for these models, an actual event like a box design, model re-colour or wheel modification (Solid into Hollow perhaps!), that took place at the start of 1970 which we can say is concrete evidence and can not be moved into 1969.

I was interested to find the BMC 1800 Pinifarina in Silver-Grey with design 2 wheels sitting inside a blister card. This comes from a 1969 trade catalogue and is originally quite small, but has blown-up to an acceptable size.
It is not being marketed as a 'Superfast' model and is clearly mocked-up for the catalogue image, but rest assured the model inside the blister is genuine.

Gold SF46 with opening doors were sold in F boxes and while today the small quantity of blue SF46 are paired with F boxes I have never seen a USA blistered + F box blue SF46 - we have no idea when the old rw blue bodies were used up in the SF46 production runs - such a mixture of wheel codes does suggest well into 1970 for your particular example.Idris wrote:Hence the hollow wheels at the rear?SMS88 wrote:[The SF46 MB300Se is a known 1970 model

Mt blue SF 46c was bought sometime around 1982. It is paired with an F-box and whilst there is no guarantee that is the box it originally came with, given when it was bought, it seems unlikely that anyone would have gone to all the effort of switching the boxes.
My gold, opening doors/boot 46c has F30, L22, M10 (hollow) and 46G (solid).

Nice to see interest for this topic is revived. A few more wheel numbers below.
22A Pontiac med purple (previous one I checked was in fact light purple), solid wh : 18D - 2D - 18C - 22.
24A Rolls, lighter red body, no cut out under front LP, black base, solid wh : E3 - 02A - E62 - E42.
24A Rolls, darker red body, with cut out under front LP, pink base, 4mm wh : E56 - E10 - E7 - E13.
29A Fire, red body, raised door panel, solid wheels : J47 - J8 - J6 - J33.
46A, blue body, opening doors and trunk, thin mixed wh : E01 - 40G - 10 - F41 (this last one hollow).
46A lt orangey gold body, opening doors and trunk, thin solid wh : 18D - C25 - 23D - 33D.
I checked 54 variations / 216 wh, so far (gave 35 here), only to find 2 numbers higher than 62 (92A and E74).
