That's a great selection of items! I know what you mean about the space issue (as do most collectors!), and getting rid of those items you no longer like as much is a good way to go. The only possible down-side is that you might change your mind after selling them on!

Money well spent Mr Mick. Great additions to your collection.
Nothing wrong with bread & water for a week... ;)

One cannot do much with all the monies in this world but can do much more if he strives toward contentment.

Rice + chickpeas + potatoes mostly this week, washed down with tea and OJ! Not used to wanting to spend so much on toys!!! I went back yesterday and bought this dozen -but 8 of them are for member Karl!

The star model for me out of all those fine examples is the 'SPOT-ON' Vauxhall 'PA Cresta, looks to be a super clean example, very nice.

Both PA Crestas are near mint although the other is dusty - only 5 Spot Ons in 500 vintage diecast - ( others are PB Cresta which I bought, VW Variant which is probably in next lot to buy and Jag Mk1 which I wont buy as too costly and missing police sign)

I went back for a 3rd helping from that amazing collection being sold off and have now spent an average month´s after tax wages on this lot but 1/3 will be coming back from selling off around 16 cars.......
This time there is a holy grail in the lot, one car which likely would fetch as much as all the rest put together if sold by vectis.........so i feel blessed and was happy to spend :geek:

You have been blessed indeed - that's a very nice lot! :)

The Spot On Variant is certainly a gem. I see your one is the New Zealand issue, complete with white tailgate which sticks out like a sore thumb! The Spot On book claims that these are less thin on the ground than the Northern Ireland version, but I certainly haven't seen any evidence of this. You have a beautiful example, how about some close-up pictures?

Ok! It has an unpainted raw metal baseplate - is it catalog number 401 ???

I went back for a final helping from that collection..........
