Selling all my matchbox

Hi all

I have had a very busy time and have decided to go after my other hobbies a vintages car and bicycles. This means I will sell all my matchbox, I have sold a lot and are now comming to the more interesting stuff.

Here are pictures of what I sell, PM me for offers or questions. Some of the models in the pictures are already sold or reserved but just ask. I will make more photos if needed. I will try to value the models from what I think they are worth I might be off then just tell me.

For all the "normal" stuff I use nicks price guide and for the HTF or rare stuff I use a combination og that and what I think Just remember it all has to go. What does not sell here goes on ebay.

Many probably think where is the #32 Red cab tanker? It is safe and sound here with me Any offers are also welcome on that.

Thank you Hugh! Ever since I moved to the house where I have room for my bicycles, I have noticed that I never have time due to the small kid,s to go out and find matchbox in the real world. So I spend most evnings on the internet, searching. Now I am in the workshop with the kids making stuff and in the evnings I can go biking or build a new bike. I still love matchbox but I have lost interrest in having the models and looking for them. So after 17 years collecting I have decided to let it go. So Before it goes on ebay I will try to sell here.

All the luck Jazzy with selling off your collection. I too share Idris's sentiments but as a collector we have to understand and accept that we are just temporary custodians and never owners of these fine models. The rewarding essence here being the excitement & thrill of collecting,the chase with joy & tears and the admiration of the conquest and or achievement of these displays.
U can always start over...

It is sad when we here of members selling their collections, because so many of us think we have a right to ownership for the rest of our natural lives, but this is not true, we are only the custodian for a period and as mere Humans, we do have to do other things, in particular attend to our Family members from time to time...

As long as you have had enjoyment from the hobby then that's fine and its not as if you are just dumping them in a Skip or donating to a charity shop (although I am sure they would like them!), but thinking of forum members, so we applaude you for doing that and I hope many of them stay with forum members.

You must however keep in contact with the forum as you have made many friends here and you will have gained some knowledge that other members will benefit from, so do keep looking in.

We also want to see more of your Vintage vehicles so there is your excuse to stay in contact with us, OK...

I agree with everyone. It is very sad to see such a fine collection broken up. I have great respect for Jazzy and i am sure that this was not a quick decision on his part. I wish you all the best and hope you will continue to contribute to the Forum for many years yet!

Make sure you do Jazzmaster! You are a valued member with plenty of experience in the field of matchbox. It would be a great shame to lose you mate!!!!!
